Battery Replacement, Maintenance & Monitoring
Battery replacement for any application. We offer valve regulated lead acid (VRLA), also known as sealed or maintenance free, wet-cell (also called flooded cell), Lithium-ion, etc. Generally VRLA batteries usually have a lower up-front cost than wet-cell but usually only have a lifespan of five years. Wet-cell batteries may have a longer lifespan, up to twenty years, but they require more advanced maintenance. We now offer Lithium-ion batteries, they weigh less and have a longer life expectancy.

VRLA Batteries

A VRLA battery is distinguished from a wet-cell battery by the rate at which oxygen is evolved from the positive plate and defused to the negative plate, ultimately forming water. Because water can’t be added, it’s recombination is critical to the life and health of a VRLA battery. ANY factor that increases the evaporation rate of water loss such as; ambient temperature and heat from the charging current, reduces the battery life. Regardless of the differences in UPS battery types, both require monitoring and maintenance to ensure maximum life and system availability.
Wet-Cell Battery Facts
Wet-cell batteries have thick lead-based plates that are flooded with an acid electrolyte. Very reliable with a long lifespan.
